This is more a college level textbook. It definitely coveres the core required for AP Psychology, but will also challenge modesty norms within this community. Specificaly, the chapter on human sexualty, while accurate, has materials that do not directly conflict with the laws regarding sex education but will raise red flags with parents. Passages about cultural norms for sexuality, sexual openness and orgasm awareness, may not be necessary to pass the AP exam and are included in the book. Other~passages about the very famous sex studies--Kinsey--may be more suited to college study. There is a photo and an insert about why some people crossdress. There are exetensive discussions not just about what homosexuality is but transexuality. Ultimately, it is a well-written and engaging book. I would recoomned it with caution and only suggest adoption after administrators and the instructor have personally reviewed a copy.
